Today I made my way to the Gay Head cliffs. It was a long walk made even harder due to my wicked heavey camera bag and tripod. Sometimes I feel like I am lugging an army pack and the tripod is the rifle! Out on some long mission hike.
But it was a glorious day and not another person was around. Times like this I can imagine that I am the only person on the entire island
The sunlight was very harsh, I timed my arrival too early and the sun was still high and glaring. On the way home I could not resisit the urge to visit menemsha as the sun went down. I had no plans to visit here but so glad that I did. it was calm and quite. Very Zen like, I took deep breathes and meditated as my camera took in all that it could see. As the sun set I found myself in the Twilight Zone.
